This month in Digital Filmmaker Magazine features a whopping six page article all about Last Man on Earth. Interviewing the director Darren Langlands, it covers everything about the film from it's inception, the crowdfunding campaign, through production and on to post, and how sci-fi's very own Colin Baker - the sixth Doctor Who - became a part of the adventure.
For all you gear heads like me, the article also goes into detail and specifies what kit was used on the production. Okay, I'll just tell you - it was my trusty Sony FS7 and a set of Arri/Zeiss Ultraprimes. For all you audio bods, it lists all the mixers and microphones that were used too, but for that you'll have to either buy the magazine or ask the Noise Four boys very nicely!
Keep an eye out for more information about the film very soon. It's being premiered in Manchester on May 28th as part of Supernova, one of the UK's largest Sci-Fi film festivals.
The magazine is available this month only (May 2016) in all good newsagents. Issue 35, page 78.
